Jill A. Hall
Jill Ann Hall, 54, of St. Augustine, Fla., died unexpectedly at Flagler Hospital.
She was born in Eliot and has resided in St. Augustine, Fla., since 2002. Jill was employed as a supervisor with the Oldest Wooden School House.
Jill enjoyed participating in the activities and events of the local and state tourism organizations, including the St. Augustine Attractions Association, SJC Visitor and Convention Bureau, Historic St. Augustine Area Council and the Florida Attractions Association.
The history of the Old School House intrigued Jill. She liked researching the Menorcans that lived in the Quarter and the students from the Class of 1864. The happiness she shared when she “discovered” another piece of wonderful information was priceless. Jill also loved being involved in the St. Augustine Wedding and Event Association. Many new friends were made, happy brides smiled and participants in events enjoyed the beautiful gardens.
Friends, visitors, and school children will miss that beautiful and friendly smile.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Jerome Hall, St. Augustine; children, Rebecca Derosier (Damian), St. Augustine, Nathan Smith, Burlington, Vt.; step-children, Ruth Abby Hynes (Patrick), Londonderry, N.H., Benjamin Davis Hall and his fiancé, Nicole Enright, Windson, Conn.;sister, Lynn Young (Peter); and granddaughter, Shannon Bree Hynes.
A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Oldest School House Garden, St. Augustine, Fla.
