Katie Neuguth recently joined Cheney Insurance Agency as a business insurance assistant. Prior to living in Maine, Katie worked for many years as a sales and marketing professional for an assisted living and memory care facility in northern Virginia. In that role she developed excellent listening and problem-solving skills which she now brings to the insurance industry. Katie is passionate about people, problem solving and building relationships with people. That, along with her professional and caring disposition, are assets in assisting business clients identify their unique risks and developing a plan that provides the best coverage for them.

Along with helping customers, Katie has been learning an extensive database system at Cheney Insurance that tracks every document, policy change and interaction with clients. Katie is excited about her career change and working in the Cheney office. She shares, “I really enjoy the work, the challenge of learning and I love the people. It is a positive work environment with a great team, management support, and a lot of laughter.”

Katie and her husband, who retired from the FBI to become an avid potter, are happy to now make Maine their year-round home. They have two grown boys and two Labrador retrievers. She loves working out at the Y, group classes, and running 5Ks. Katie has sung professionally, likes to spend time in the flower garden, antiquing, and enjoys boating on the coast.
