Leslie B. Cook
Leslie B. Cook, 82, of Boothbay, Maine, passed away in May after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Leslie was a devoted member of the Boothbay Region Garden Club and shared her love of gardens, community, and local events through the many articles she wrote for the Boothbay Register about the club’s tours and gatherings.
She was also a member of St. Columba’s Episcopal Church, where she formed many lifelong friendships and became part of a caring faith community that meant a great deal to her.
For many seasons, Leslie worked at the front desk of Fisherman’s Wharf, greeting visitors and neighbors with warmth. It was there that she met the love of her life, William Harvey.
For the remainder of her years, Leslie was always by William’s side. Together, they embraced all that life offered them, sharing companionship, joy, and countless cherished moments.
Leslie is survived by her daughter and by her life partner, William Harvey.
Leslie will be remembered for her kindness, her love of beauty and community, her dedication to the people and places she held dear, and the lasting friendships she nurtured throughout her life.
