LGBTQ+ Unity Walk in Newcastle June 27
Lincoln County Unity & Community Pride (LCUCP), a grassroots partnership, invites the public to attend the LGBTQ+ Unity Walk on Saturday, June 27 at 9:30 a.m. at Veterans Park in Newcastle. Folks are encouraged to arrive around 9:15-9:30 for a gathering at Veterans Park. At 10, the Unity Walk will proceed up Main Street and across the bridge and ending up at Rising Tide Co-op in Damariscotta.
The Unity Walk is open to everyone in support of LGBTQIA+ and we encourage community members, families, friends and allies from across the region to take part. The event is intended as a welcoming public gathering that honors inclusion, visibility, and connection while bringing people together in a spirit of support and celebration.
The 2026 Unity Walk will be LCUCP’s fifth annual pride event in Lincoln County. This year’s theme, “Keep Love in the Mix 2026” reflects the event’s message of belonging and shared community, keeping love in everything we say and do, the very Spirit of Love is Universal and Inclusive. Organizers say the Unity Walk is an opportunity to come together in support of LGBTQ+ people and their families while strengthening the values of respect, unity, and neighborliness across Lincoln County.
No registration is required, and all are welcome to attend! There will be tabling at Rising Tide, as well as fresh fruit and PRIDE cupcakes provided by Hannaford a sponsor and support, along with face painting by Dona, T-shirt painting provided by Healthy Lincoln County, also a sponsor and support. Rising Tide is a partner and sponsor providing a safe space and opportunity for everyone! There will be a Tea & Thee time of reflection and more connection from 12:30 to 1:30 at Skidompha library, also a partner and sponsor.
Finally, from 2 to 3:30, local artist Haley Graves will perform an acoustic concert at Oyster Head Pizza, Join Us!
