Lincoln Country Sheriff's Office: 2 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 266 calls for service for the period of May 26 to June 2. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 5,090 calls for service.
Summonses
Stewart P. Hanley, 36, of Bristol was issued a summons May 31 for Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer, on Beach Loop Road, Bristol, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton.
Connor J. Bragg, 22, of Washington was issued a summons June 1 for Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked – Prior, on Somerville Road, Somerville, by Deputy Jeffrey Rogers.
Arrests
Jeremiah D. Zehring, 48, of Whitefield was arrested May 27 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Cedar Lane, Whitefield, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.
Carol A. Juchnik, 81, of Newcastle was arrested May 28 for Domestic Violence Assault and Criminal Mischief, on West Old County Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Accidents
On May 26, an accident occurred on Patterson Road in Dresden involving Eric M. Levesque, 46, of Litchfield. Mr. Levesque was operating his 2025 Chevrolet Silverado westbound when a deer ran out in front of him and was struck, causing front bumper damage. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
On May 26, an accident occurred on East Pond Road in Nobleboro involving Gavin Grindal, 21, of Nobleboro. Mr. Grindal was operating his 2010 Subaru Forester westbound when a deer entered the roadway and struck the front of his vehicle, causing disabling damage. Sgt. Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On May 28, an accident occurred on Ocean Point Road in Boothbay involving Cody W. Simpson, 37, of Lewiston. Mr. Simpson was backing his 2019 Western Star (beverage truck) truck from Ocean Point Road into a private drive to make a delivery at a business. As he was backing up, he backed up into the side of the driveway, running over the water pipes/equipment leading to Smuggler’s Cove, breaking and damaging the pipes and unit. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On May 29, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Matthew D. Urbanek, 73, of Belgrade and Alexis M. Manowski, 21, of Newcastle. Mr. Urbanek was operating his 2020 Acura MDK west on Main Street and was making a right turn into the parking lot of the Publick House. Urbanek stated his turn signal was operating. Ms. Manowski was stopped at the stop sign in her 2024 Nissan Altima, at the front of the Publick House, and was attempting to drive west from the stop sign. As she proceeded, she collided with the right rear corner of Urbanek’s vehicle, inflicting minor but reportable damage to his vehicle and non-reportable damage to her vehicle. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On May 31, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Brandon J. Wolfe, 30, of Chelsea. Mr. Wolfe was operating his 2026 Dodge 1500 southbound when a deer came out into the roadway in front of him and was struck, causing driver’s side front end damage. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
