Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: 3 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 230 calls for service for the period of Feb. 10 to Feb. 17. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 1,725 calls for service.
Summonses
Lauren C. Jackson, 35, of Whitefield was issued a summons Feb. 10 for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, on Gardiner Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Michael E. Hilgendorf, 75, of Damariscotta was issued a summons Feb. 10 for Operating under the Influence and Operating after Habitual Offender Revocation – Prior, after an investigation into an incident which occurred on 11/06/25, in Nobleboro, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Arrests
Kathryn R. Balasa, 50, of Edgecomb was arrested Feb. 12 for Violating Condition of Release, at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Wiscasset, by Detective Matthew Ryan.
Juan DeJesus Zamora Oporta, 21, transient was arrested Feb. 14 for Criminal Trespass, on Rock Schoolhouse Road, Bristol, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.
Allen L. Glidden Jr., 40, of Jefferson was arrested Feb. 16 on a Kennebec County warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of Possession of Drugs, on Rockland Road, Jefferson, by Detective Matthew Ryan.
Accidents
On Feb. 10, an accident occurred on N. Clary Road in Jefferson involving Lorna Brooks, 66, of Jefferson and Henry Nevins, 81, of Bremen. Mr. Nevins was operating his 2011 Kia Sedona southbound on Augusta Road when Ms. Brooks came to a stop at the intersection of N. Clary Road and Augusta Road in her 2017 GMC Acadia. Ms. Brooks made a left turn and struck Nevins’ vehicle. Deputy Kasey Doyle was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 10, an accident occurred on Townhouse Road in Whitefield involving Avril Goodman, 22, of Whitefield and Eoin C. O’Mahoney, 22, of Whitefield. Mr. O’Mahoney was operating his 2017 Ford Super Duty southbound on Townhouse Road and Ms. Goodman was making a left hand turn from a driveway to face northbound on Townhouse Road in her 2010 Subaru Forester. Goodman entered the roadway in front of O’Mahoney’s vehicle and O’Mahoney attempted to stop, leaving skid marks on the roadway, but was unable. As a result, the front of O’Mahoney’s vehicle collided with the rear driver’s side corner of Goodman’s vehicle. Detective Matthew Ryan was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 10, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Shawn N. Royce, 22, of Augusta. Mr. Royce was operating his 2011 Subaru Outback southbound in a snowstorm. Mr. Royce lost control of his vehicle and slid off the road to the right and struck a tree. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 10, an accident occurred on Alna Road in Alna involving Scott A. Hanna, 24, of Alna and David J. Kelley, 36, of Alna. Mr. Hanna was speeding northbound in his 2010 Honda Accord, when he lost control and went into the southbound lane, striking Mr. Kelley’s 2018 Ford F-750 truck, which was traveling southbound, causing center driver’s side damage to the fuel tank of Kelley’s truck. Hanna’s vehicle then rolled multiple times, causing damage to the front driver’s sided quarter panel and other areas of the roof and front/sides of his vehicle. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 10, an accident occurred on Pond Road in Newcastle involving Judith A. Nielsen, 70, of Boothbay Harbor. Ms. Nielsen was operating her 2014 Ford C-Max eastbound when she crossed the center line, going off the roadway on the left, before striking a rock and coming to rest. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 11, an accident occurred on Townhouse Road in Whitefield involving Aaron M. Lempke, 36, of Whitefield. Mr. Lempke was operating his 2011 Ford Fusion southbound when he observed a deer enter the roadway from the northbound ditch and struck it. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 11, an accident occurred on River Road in Edgecomb involving Joseph W. St. George, 76, of Boothbay Harbor. Mr. St. George was operating his 2012 Hyundai Elantra southbound when he hit slush and lost control of his vehicle, causing him to slide off the roadway and strike a snowbank. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
