Lincoln County Sheriff's Office: 1 arrest
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 222 calls for service for the period of Nov. 10 to Nov. 18. Year to Date, LCSO has responded to 12,888 calls for service.
Summons
Lee Rogers, 72, of Waldoboro was issued a summons Nov. 12 for Allowing Dog to be at Large, on Beech Ridge Road, Waldoboro, by Animal Control Officer Lindsay Smith.
Arrest
Stephen W. Zaccadelli, 57, of Waldoboro was arrested Nov. 10 for Attaching False Plates; Failing to Make Oral or Written Accident Report; Violating Condition of Release (x4); a Lincoln County warrant for Theft of Services, VCR and a Rockland Police Department warrant for Failure to Appear, on Waldoboro Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Jeffrey Rogers.
Accidents
On Nov. 11, an accident occurred on US Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Aaron Murray, 40, of Damariscotta. Mr. Murray was operating his 2024 Chevrolet Trax northbound when a deer suddenly entered the roadway and struck the front of the vehicle, causing extensive damage. Deputy Brandon Maciuba was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 11, an accident occurred on Mills Road in Whitefield involving Anthony J. Abbott, 18, of Jefferson. Mr. Abbott was operating his 2007 Chevrolet Silverado on Mills Road in snowy/slippery conditions. Abbott was driving too fast for the road conditions and began to slide. As a result, he slid off the road and collided with a utility pole, snapping it off. His vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 13, an accident occurred on Academy Hill in Newcastle involving Chauncey L. Harrison, 34, of Jackson, Mississippi. Mr. Harrison was operating his 2016 Freightliner Tractor Trailer southbound when he attempted to make a right turn onto Academy Hill, but made the turn too sharp and struck a utility pole. Mr. Harrison stated while making the turn, a vehicle attempted to go around his vehicle, making him take the corner too sharp. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 16, an accident occurred on West Alna Road in Alna involving Robert Holderman, 35, of Wiscasset. Mr. Holderman was operating his 2020 Acura RDX southbound when he went off the road on the right and struck the guardrail, driving along the guardrail and causing damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. He then traveled off the road on the right at the end of the guardrail and struck a tree. Sgt. Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.
