Lincoln County Sheriff's Office: 11 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 354 calls for service for the period of Aug. 11 to Aug. 18. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 8,527 calls for service.
Summonses
Anthony M. Roman, 21, of Bristol was issued a summons Aug. 12 for Attaching False Plates and Leaving Scene of Motor Vehicle Accident, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.
Kathryn W. Mastricolo, 45, of Augusta was issued summonses Aug. 15 for Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked and Violating Condition of Release, on River Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.
Arrests
Karen E. Moody, 50, of Dresden was arrested Aug. 11 for Operating under the Influence-Drugs-No Test, on Gardiner Road, Dresden, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.
Mark E. Handlowich, 57, of Pompano Beach, Florida was arrested Aug. 14 on a Volusia County Florida warrant for a Probation Violation, with an underlying offense of Burglary, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.
Brian M. Saraiva, 40, of China was arrested Aug. 13 for Disorderly Conduct, on Main Street, Whitefield, by Deputy Samuel Alexander, who was assisted by Sgt. Jonathan Colby and Deputy Ethan Burns.
Riley J. Davenport, 27, of Boothbay Harbor was arrested Aug. 14 for Aggravated Criminal Mischief, on Sunset Road, Boothbay Harbor, by Detective Jared Mitkus, who was assisted by Deputy Jerold Winslow and Deputy Ethan Burns.
William W. Breslin, IV, 60, of Chantilly, Virginia was arrested Aug. 16 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Wildwood Shores Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
Douglas R. Carpenter, 76, of Somerville was arrested Aug. 16 on a Lincoln County warrant for Failure to Appear on a Criminal Threatening/Assault charge, on Crummett Mountain Road, Somerville, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.
Derek E. Keenan, 42, of Embden was arrested Aug. 17 for Operating under the Influence, on Gardiner Road, Dresden, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton.
James B. Peterson, 64, of Dresden was arrested Aug. 17 for Operating under the Influence, on Common Road, Dresden, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.
Nathan A. Peaslee, 36, of Dresden was arrested Aug. 18 for Theft by Unauthorized Use of Property; Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention; Assault and Operating under the Influence – No Test, on Common Road, Dresden, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba, who was assisted by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.
Nassar S. Alshamani, 21, of Buxton was arrested Aug. 18 on a Lincoln County warrant for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Visual Sexual Aggression Against a Child by the Greensboro North Carolina Police Department. Mr. Alshamani was arrested in North Carolina after an investigation by Detective Jared Mitkus of an incident which occurred in April 2026 in Maine.
Tysheem Jah-Raekwon McGregor, 28, of New York, New York was arrested Aug. 18 on an active warrant from the New York Police Department for a Weapon Offense CPW 2nd Degree (with full extradition), at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Jared Mitkus.
Accidents
On Aug. 12, an accident occurred on the By-Way in Boothbay Harbor involving Geoffrey C. Smith, 51, of East Boothbay and Christopher A. Vashaw, 30, of Chesterville. Mr. Vashaw’s 2026 Freightliner was parked unattended, facing northbound on By-Way, unloading commercial goods to various restaurants. Mr. Smith, who was operating his 2021 Ford F550, turned the corner from Wharf Street onto northbound By-Way. Smith stated he thought he was far enough over to drive past Vashaw’s vehicle, but his passenger side scraped the front driver’s corner of Vashaw’s vehicle and caught the front bumper guard and pulled it off. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 12, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Anthony M. Roman, 21, of Bristol and Katrina Jo Kelley, 46, of Newcastle. Mr. Roman was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Sheepscot Road and Route 1, in his 2012 Mazda CX-9 and Ms. Kelley was operating her 2023 Mazda CX-30 southbound on Route 1. Roman failed to yield and claimed to not see Kelley’s vehicle and proceeded left onto Route 1 and as a result, struck Kelley’s vehicle in the rear passenger quarter panel. Kelley went off the road following the collision, traveled over a ditch and stopped in a field after sustaining disabling damage. Roman left the scene but pulled over at the Damariscotta Police Department. Deputy Brandon Maciuba was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 14, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Krystal R. Tribou, 18, of Gardiner and Samantha M. Soucy, 43, of Brunswick. Ms. Tribou was stopped in traffic at the stop sign at the intersection of Boothbay Road and Route 1, in her 2020 Subaru Outback. Tribou attempted to enter the lane of traffic southbound on Route 1, but due to heavy traffic, stopped and attempted to reverse back to the stop sign line. Tribou then struck Soucy’s 2019 Volkswagen who was behind Tribou’s vehicle. Deputy Brandon Maciuba was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 15, an accident occurred on River Road in Boothbay involving Erin L. Stodder, 43, of Whitefield. Ms. Stodder was operating her 2021 Toyota 4Runner northbound when she traveled across the damaged shoulder of the road, causing her to lose control and travel off the roadway to the right. Her vehicle then struck a mailbox and then a utility pole, sustaining disabling damage. Deputy Brandon Maciuba was the investigating officer.
