Lincoln County Sheriff's Office: 3 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 232 calls for service for the period of Nov. 4 to Nov. 10., and Year to date, LCSO has responded to 12,666 calls for service.
Summons
Alan L. Beaucage, 49, of Newcastle was issued a summons Nov. 7 for Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked – Priors, on Station Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.
Arrests
Courtney R. Simmons, 27, of Nobleboro was arrested Nov. 5 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Four Seasons Drive, Nobleboro, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.
Adriana D. S. Velez, 20, of Waterville was arrested Nov. 7 on a Somerset County warrant for Criminal Threatening/Criminal Mischief, on Upper East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Sgt. Jonathan Colby.
Kenneth J. Ortega, 29, of Fairfield was arrested Nov. 7 on a Probation Hold, on Upper East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Accidents
On Nov. 45, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Jefferson involving Jessica J. Blanchard, 49, of Rockland. Ms. Blanchard was operating her 2024 Ford F550 ambulance northbound when a deer suddenly entered the roadway and struck the front bumper of her vehicle, causing significant damage. Deputy Brandon Maciuba was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 4, an accident occurred on Mills Road (Louis Doe’s Home Center) in Newcastle involving Michael Knof, 57, of Nobleboro and Sean E. Bailey, 56, of Newcastle. Mr. Knof was backing his 2011 Toyota Tacoma out of a parking space when he sideswiped Mr. Bailey’s 2010 Subaru Forester, who was parked next to him. Deputy Kasey Doyle was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 4, an accident occurred on Pond Road in Newcastle involving Pamela A. Stone, 45, of Newcastle. Ms. Stone was operating her 2020 Subaru Impreza southbound when a deer suddenly entered the roadway and struck the front bumper/passenger corner of her vehicle. Her vehicle suffered significant damage, but was still operable. Deputy Brandon Maciuba was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 4, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Somerville involving Jon C. Tobiasz, 52, of Portland. Mr. Tobiasz was operating his 2020 Subaru Forester westbound when a deer ran in front of his vehicle and was struck, causing disabling damage to the front area. Deputy Nathaniel Aronson was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 6, an accident occurred on Patricktown Road in Somerville involving Ruth Bowman, 55, of Washington. Ms. Bowman was operating her 2019 Toyota Tundra eastbound when a deer entered the roadway and struck her front bumper, front driver’s corner and the front driver’s side door of her vehicle. Deputy Brandon Maciuba was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 7, an accident occurred on Piper Road in Whitefield involving Nancy S. Kristiansen, 69, of Naples and Katie Troyer, 27, of Whitefield. Ms. Toyer, who was in her horse drawn buggy, was slowing to turn left from Grand Army Road to Piper Road. Ms. Kristiansen was traveling eastbound in her 2022 Honda Pilot, behind Troyer and attempted to pass on the left, while Troyer was starting to turn, causing a collision. The impact appeared to be to the shoulder of the horse and the harness, striking the passenger side mirror/front door area. No injuries reported. Deputy Nathaniel Aronson was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 8, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving James B. Hanna, 82, of Boothbay and Todd Carpenter, 56, of West Baldwin. Mr. Carpenter was operating his 2023 Volvo tractor trailer southbound on Route 1. Mr. Hanna was operating his 2008 Volvo 70 southbound on Main Street (on ramp to Route 1) when he failed to yield to Carpenter’s vehicle and struck the side of the tractor trailer he was hauling. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
