Dear Editor:

I have known Linda since shortly after she arrived in Alna. I know her to be thoughtful, fair-minded, competent and diligent.

She has a master's degree in special education from the University of Southern Maine and taught in Maine schools for 25 years before retiring in 2014.

She served on the planning board in Richmond, where she lived with her husband Michael and their four children. She has 10 grandchildren, most of whom live within driving distance.

I have no doubt that Linda will do everything she can to look out for the best interests of the town and the people in it if she becomes second selectperson.
