Edgecomb has two new selectmen. During an April 15 special election, Frances Mague and Lyndyn Norgang won respective races with 46 residents casting referendum ballots. Residents also approved one other warrant article. By 40-6, residents approved appropriating $5,641 from the Edgecomb Waterfront Committee Fund for the harbor master’s budget. The request includes $2,000 for the harbor master, $500 for the assistant harbor master, $191 for the town’s  share of Medicare and Social Security taxes, and $2,950 for operational expenses.

Mague ran unopposed. She received 40 votes and will fill Dawn Murray’s unexpired term which ends in May. Norgang defeated Craig Urwin, 33-12. She fills Ted Hugger’s unexpired term which expires in 2025.

Norgang and Mague will begin their terms during the Monday, April 17 selectmen’s meeting beginning at 6 p.m. in the conference room.
