MaineHealth Dermatology offers ‘protect the skin you’re in’ June 25
Summer means more time outdoors and, hopefully, more fun in the sun. It’s also a time to be cautious about exposure to the sun’s powerful ultraviolet rays.
Dermatologist Leo Laufer, MD will share ways to “protect the skin you’re in” on Wednesday, June 25, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Watson Health Center Community Room on the MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital Miles Campus.
There is no cost to attend, but it is a good idea to pre-register as space is limited. Please call 207-563-4083 or email Sarah.Bright@mainehealth.org to reserve a spot.
Along with prevention tips, Dr. Laufer will also share how to spot skin cancer and the steps to take if you recognize a potential problem.
Dr. Laufer has more than three decades of experience and is board-certified in dermatology. He joined MaineHealth Dermatology in 2022 after running a successful private practice for more than 30 years. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a graduate of Tulane University.
This program continues the partnership between Lincoln County Television (LCTV) and MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital, formed in 2019. LCTV will livestream the event for those who cannot attend. The presentation will also be recorded and aired on LCTV for on-demand viewing.
