MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital welcomes local board member
Harold ‘Hal’ Moorefield Jr. of Boothbay Harbor was unanimously appointed to the MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital (MHLH) community board recently.
Moorefield and his family came to Maine in 2013, after retiring from a successful career as a commercial law litigator in Florida.He was the chair of the firm’s Insolvency and Reorganization Department in Miami, primarily representing institutional creditors and trustees throughout Florida.
Moorefield earned his BA degree from Wake Forest University (North Carolina) and his JD degree from the University of Miami Law School. He is a past president of the Boothbay Region Land Trust, and currently serves on its Finance Committee and assists with its legal matters.
In addition, Moorefieldchairs the Boothbay Region Clean Drinking Water Initiative, is a lay leader and guest speaker for the East Boothbay Methodist Church and is an active supporter of the Coast Guard Foundation.
More recently, he served on the MHLH Finance Committee as well as its Patient Quality and Safety Committee.

When Hal is not busy with community related tasks, he enjoys boating, studying history, camping and traveling.
