Maloney for Wiscasset Selectboard
Dear Editor:
William “Bill” Maloney is running as an incumbent for a third term as Selectman for the Town of Wiscasset. Bill and Lynn Maloney moved to Wiscasset in 2013 and Bill brought with him extensive experience in the fields of economic and project development. His prior experience and his past four years of service to the town is a valuable asset on the board as Wiscasset faces some hefty decisions in the coming years.
A top priority for Bill is economic development. The town has been approached by interested parties in developing parts of the Mason Station property. There is also interest in a $5 billion development of a data center on 300 acres off Birch Point Road. Another area of great concern is the relocation of the wastewater treatment plant or leaving it in its current location. Bill is in favor of leaving the plant where it is and protecting it with a cement wall to address environmental concerns.
We know Bill to be a man of integrity and common sense. He is a dedicated public servant and we need him on the board as we face the aforementioned challenges ahead.
We urge you to cast your vote for Bill Maloney so we can continue to have the benefit of his past experience and knowledge.
Brian and Linda Adams
Wiscasset
