Maren Olsen Howarth died peacefully in Dublin, Ireland Jan. 10, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. 

Beloved wife of David and much loved mother to Christian, Annelise and Emilia, she is also survived by her mother Dr. Paula Hallett.

Maren, born March 25, 1961, grew up in Concord, Massachusetts, and lived in Houston, Paris and Dublin spending her summers in Boothbay Harbor. Maren was elegance personified with boundless empathy for all the people and children she met.  She was known for her artful jewelry, devotion to friends, and warm and resounding laughter. 

Memorial service and festivities will be held in the Boothbay area during the summer. Donations can be made to the American and Irish Cancer Societies.
