Tue, 05/12/2020 - 11:00am

After heavy deliberation the Maine Outdoor Film Festival has whittled down its finalist list to 36 submissions. Up for grabs are two awards — a Jury and Audience award — in five categories and $2,500+ in cash and gear prizes. The Jury award will be decided by a MOFF jury but the Audience award is decided by popular vote.

And, among the finalists in MOFF’s new competition, Extra Credit Adventure Edit, is Boothbay Harbor’s Camden Spear for his film, “The Steel City Surfer” and up PenBay Pilot way, “Dip And Sway” by  Dylan Ladds, Dooster  of Belfast.

All finalists films scheduled to be aired live and online on Wednesday, May 13 at 7 p.m. Sign up to get the viewing link here via the Evenbrite page.

The public will be able to re-watch the films and vote for their favorites May 14-19 (up until 11:59 p.m.) and awards will be announced May 20.

There is a  $250 prize to the Audience Award winner in each category: Highlight, Modern Day PSA, Nature Meditation, Profile, Maine Made; and $250 to the Jury Award Winner

The screenings are free but a donation toward your ticket will support MOFFs mission to celebrate the outdoor community, bring screenings to people across Maine, and encourage filmmaker creativity.
