Messy morning commute possible

Snow and sleet are possible over all of Lincoln County early Monday morning before a changeover to rain, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service’s Gray office said.
The precipitation was expected to arrive in Lincoln County as early as 6:30 a.m. Rain will continue throughout the day and could be heavy at times, but nothing that would create a risk of flooding, meteorologist Eric Schwibs said.
The immediate coast should see little to no accumulation of snow or sleet because temperatures will be warm enough to melt what has fallen, Schwibs said. Other areas could see less than one inch of accumulation.
Later Monday, winds out of the south could reach 30 mph along the coast, with lighter winds expected inland, Schwibs said.
