The Maine Public Broadcasting Network announces a one-day Radio Pledge Drive slated for Saturday, Feb. 7. Occurring the week prior to Valentine’s Day, the theme for the one-day drive is “Show Your Radio a Little Love.”

The goals of this “Super Saturday” pledge are to help raise the necessary support for MPBN and to bring on new MPBN members while interrupting the radio programming as little as possible.

This Saturday drive follows the previously successful one-day MPBN pledge drive model called “Super Thursday.” The one-day radio pledge drives have been well received by supporters, as opposed to the multi-day pledge drives of the past.

Over 30 volunteers will help answer the phones out of MPBN’s Portland studio as donations are phoned in. Listeners and supporters can make a donation by calling 1-800-866-1475 or by clicking “Support” on www.mpbn.net.
