Olivia Marshall wins Principal’s Award
Olivia Marshall of Wiscasset, a senior at Wiscasset Middle High School, has been selected to receive the 2026 Principal’s Award, Principal Sarah Hubert announced. The award, sponsored by Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
“Olivia has shown determination, perseverance, and consistency throughout her growth at Wiscasset Middle High School. I can confidently say that she will do well at whatever she sets her mind to because she asks questions, sets goals, and seeks positive outcomes. Her success will shine in her post-secondary education and future workplace.”
Throughout her years at Wiscasset Middle High School, Marshall has distinguished herself in the classroom, on the playing field and court, and as a leader in the school and the community. Hubert noted in making the award, “She very much deserves this recognition because of her hard work, grit, and desire to make things better.”
Marshall, Hubert and other award winners and their principals will attend an Honors Luncheon at Jeff’s Catering in Brewer on Saturday, April 11 at 12:30 p.m. The Honors Luncheon recognizes these outstanding students with the presentation of an individual plaque and the awarding of 10 $1,000 scholarships in the names of former Maine principals and MPA Executive Directors Horace O. McGowan, Richard W. Tyler and Richard A. Durost. The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine’s school administrators.
