Planning Commission workshop on legal services for small businesses April 9
Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission (LCRPC) is hosting a free informational workshop on legal services for business on Thursday, April 9, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the LCRPC conference room at 297 Bath Road in Wiscasset and online.
This learning opportunity will feature Elliot Boyle of Levesque Law, Andy Zulieve of Zulieve Law, and Erin Cusenbary of the University of Maine Business and Law Clinic. Small businesses from Lincoln County are invited to participate in this valuable learning opportunity and to connect with other members of the local business community.
This 90-minute session is designed for small business owners and will focus primarily on business structure and contracts (including liability and personal asset protection), as two common areas where businesses often seek legal services. Panelists will also discuss other areas where legal guidance is often necessary (commercial leases, employment matters, business transfers, intellectual property, etc.). The goal of the workshop is practical and preventative, helping business owners understand when legal help is truly necessary, avoid waiting until issues become expensive, and feel more confident identifying and engaging the right attorney. This is one of several workshops available this year through LCRPC’s Business Booster Series.
The Business Booster Series, hosted by Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission, is a semi regular workshop series for Lincoln County businesses. Topics covered include marketing, financial management, access to capital, legal services, workforce development, and other important topics that impact members of the business community. This is a free event. To RSVP or ask questions, email azipparo@lcrpc.org This event is hybrid, but in-person attendance is highly encouraged, however, for those who wish to attend via zoom, a link will be provided after the RSVP is received.
