The Lincoln County Democratic Committee (LCDC) has announced the date, time and location for their biannual “Get Out the Vote Rally” (GOTV). The event, which will be held rain or shine, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the American Legion in Damariscotta. Parking is available next door at the CLC YMCA, at 525 Main St., with accessible spots reserved at the Legion for those with appropriate plates or placards.

The rally aims to build momentum for the final weeks of campaigning ahead of the Nov. 3 election. This family-friendly event will feature activities for all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Democratic candidates, gather voter information, and sign up for GOTV volunteer efforts. 

Short speeches, including from House Rep Chellie Pingree and Maine Speaker of the House, Ryan Fecteau, will begin at approximately 3 p.m. 

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations of toilet paper, canned meat, baby wipes, and cereal bars to benefit area community food pantries.
