Wiscasset’s Don Jones is asking the town for a spelling fix to a road sign. The sign on Rumerill Road should read Rumrill, the name of an early Wiscasset family for which it was named, according to Jones’ Jan. 12 letter to Town Manager Marian Anderson.

Selectmen on Tuesday night, Jan. 20, are set to consider Jones’ request. Several appointments to town committees are also on tap, along with a policy for repurchase and transfer of ownership of burial lots in local public cemeteries.

The board’s meeting in the municipal building meeting room starts at 7 p.m.
