Sherry Ann Guerette, 65, of Dresden, passed with her family by her side on April 30, 2020.

Sherry was born, a twin, in Bath, Maine on April 21, 1955 to Paul and Mildred Knight of Arrowsic. She attended Bath schools and graduated Morse High School in 1973. She then moved to Wiscasset where she raised three beautiful daughters.

Sherry was a devoted wife, mother, Nan, and Great Gram. She retired from Bowdoin College where she made cherished friendships with her “peeps.” Sherry loved to spend time with her family and her fur babies. She welcomed friends with open arms and had a gift of making people feel special. She also enjoyed crafting, sewing, baking, watching the movie Secretariat and especially quilting. She was known for being able to throw together a pie or quilt on a moment’s notice and was always happy to clothe or feed a friend or family member.

For 10 years Sherry fought multiple cancers. She was not only courageous but also inspirational and her positive attitude never wavered. Whenever she was asked about her battle, she took the time to not talk about herself but instead to spread a message that was so important to her; to always be kind.

She is predeceased by her father Paul and brother Dicky.

Sherry is survived by her husband 25 years, John “Denny” Guerette Sr.; daughters, Bridgett (Vern) Brewer of Wiscasset, Melissa Mank of Dresden, and Samantha Mank (Bryan McKeithan) of Whiteville, North Carolina; twin sister, Cheryl Crocker of Brunswick; brother, Paul (Kim) Knight of Portland; mother Mildred of Arrowsic; grandsons, Joshua (Amanda) Brewer and Kevin (Kasie) Brewer; granddaughter, Kaleigh Mank-Webster; stepgrandchildren, Bryanna, Ragon, Izzy, Easton and Ryder; great-grandchildren, Madison, Kelsea, Elaina, Zack, Kyle, Tyler and Brittany, stepchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be private for immediate family. The family asks that when you think of Sherry, please be reminded of how important it is to always be kind.
