St. Giles Episcopal holding annual fair July 25 in beautiful Jefferson

Saturday, July 25, 2026 - 10:00 am to 02:00 pmSt. Giles Jefferson mounts its annual Country Fair and fundraiser under the tall pines on the church grounds Saturday, July 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. St. Giles Episcopal is located at 72 Gardiner Road (Route 126) in Jefferson.
The fair has activities for all ages. Plus, 21 local artists and crafters have reserved tables to display their offerings.
A highlight, as in past years, will be a Kids Corner hosted by Giles the church mouse, with face painting, an obstacle course, a fishing game, and a hobby horse race. All children’s games are free. The kids earn tickets when they play games, and with the tickets pick their own prizes.
A Live Auction with many offerings including: a large mounted moose head; two mounted deer heads; three hand-made cotton quilts; a two-hour Windjammer day sail out of Camden; an antique painted kitchen table with matching chairs; a 1950s Singer Sewing machine in good condition with case and supplies; rug braiding coat weight new wool, a braiding stand, braiding tools and all supplies; a cord of hardwood firewood; a child’s stroller; a large dog crate; and original art work. The auction begins at 11 a.m. but come before to get your bid numbers. You can pay by cash, check or credit card.
The traditional Country Cupboard booth will feature a selection of savory items, jams, and baked goods prepared by parishioners, and house plants and potted herbs. A large selection of home-made "heavenly pies" will be for sale in the church hall.
Lunch items available will include hot dogs on the grill, sandwiches, chips, ice cream bars and soft drinks.

The money generated goes to the church and its outreach programs including the Jefferson Area Community Food Pantry and Maine’s Home for Little Wanderers.
