“The Worst Person in the World” - (R; 2 hours, 7 minutes, in Norwegian w/English subtitles) - A 2022 Academy Award nominee for Best Original Screenplay and Best International Feature Film. “The Worst Person in the World” chronicles four years in the life of Julie, a young woman who navigates the troubled waters of her love life and struggles to find her career path, leading her to take a realistic look at who she really is. A quest for love and meaning in contemporary Oslo. A must-see performance from leading actress Renate Reinsve, who took home the prize for Best Actress at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival. “Talking Food in Maine: Intimate Conversations” - Season 2 of Talking Food in Maine welcomes Women in Food Innovation. A free series of one-on-one conversations between host Cherie Scott and notable culinary pioneers who have made a substantial contribution to the culinary arts in the state of Maine. Vanessa Santarelli, former business manager of The Maine Cabin Masters and founder of Your Maine Concierge, creates memorable experiences for visitors and Mainers alike by customizing itineraries to each client’s specific interests and overall travel goals. Thursday, March 10 at 7 p.m.

“Licorice Pizza” - (R; 2 hours, 13 minutes) - The story of Alana Kane (Alana Haim) and Gary Valentine (Cooper Hoffman - son of the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman) growing up, running around, and falling in love in the San Fernando Valley in 1973. Written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (known for Punch-Drunk Love, There Will Be Blood, Boogie Nights), the film tracks the treacherous navigation of first love. Nominated for three Oscars: Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Achievement in Directing, and Best Original Screenplay. Playing Friday, March 11 at 2 and 7 p.m.; Saturday, March 12 at 7 p.m.; Sunday, March 13 at 5 p.m.; Wednesday, March 16 at 2 and 7 p.m., and Thursday, March 17 at 2 p.m.

“Ariadne auf Naxos” - The Met Live in HD - (2 hours, 50 minutes w/one 40-minute intermission) - Lise Davidsen makes her Live in HD debut in one of her signature roles as Ariadna, the mythological Greek heroine of Strauss’s enchanting masterpiece. The cast also features mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard as the Composer of the opera-within-an-opera around which the plot revolves, with soprano Brenda Rae as the spirited Zerbinetta and tenor Brandon Jovanovich as the god Bacchus. Marek Janowski conducts. Tickets: $25 adult, $23 LT member, $5 youth 18 and under. Saturday, March 12 at 1 p.m.
