Talking Food in Maine: Intimate Conversations – Free! - Host Cherie Scott of Boothbay welcomes culinary pioneers who’ve made a substantial contribution to the culinary arts in Maine. Barton Seaver is on a mission to restore our relationship with the ocean, the land, and with each other—through dinner. He has translated his illustrious career as a chef to become one of the world’s leading experts and educators in the area of sustainable seafood innovations. Thursday, April 6 at 7 p.m.

“The Lost King” - (PG-13; 1 hour, 49 minutes) - In this inspiring true story, amateur historian Philippa Langley believes she has made the archeological find of the century: the lost burial site of King Richard III. She takes on Britain’s most eminent historians, forcing them to rethink the legacy of one of the most controversial rulers in English history. Playing at 2 and 7 p.m. on Friday, April 7, Saturday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 12; at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 9 and 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 13.

2023 Mountainfilm on Tour - Back for it’s fourth year in Damariscotta with more selections of culturally rich, adventure-packed, inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm Festival in Telluride, Colorado. This selection of films explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission: to use the power of film, art, and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. One night only: Tuesday, April 11 at 6:30. Tickets: $15 adult and $5 youth (under the age of 17). A fundraiser for the outdoor/outdoor education related efforts of the Great Salt Bay PTO. All ticket sales will go toward improving the school grounds, trails, and outdoor related offerings.

“The Lost Weekend” - (PG-13; 1 hour, 44 minutes – including bonus content) - A love story that took 50 years to tell, explores the 18-month relationship (1973-1975) that John Lennon spent with May Pang, his Chinese-American assistant turned lover (at Yoko’s insistence). With May’s help, Lennon reunited with his son, Julian, and had his most artistically and commercially productive period post-Beatles, which included writing his only #1 hit single, “Whatever Gets You Through the Night;” collaborations with Elton John, David Bowie, Harry Nilsson, Mick Jagger, Ringo, and others. Pang chronicles it all revisiting her younger self, a naïve 22-year-old experiencing her first, unforgettable love. Playing Thursday, April 13 at 7 p.m. and Friday, April 14 at 2 p.m.

And in May … LCCT’s production of a contemporary take on the classic tale, “Cinderella.” Tickets on sale now: $25 adult, $23 members, and $5 youth 18 and under. Show times: May 5 at 7:30 p.m.; two shows Saturday, May 6 at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, May 7 at 2 p.m.
