“Lyle, Lyle Crocodile JR. The Musical” – A CAST production - Lincoln Theater's Coastal Arts Student Theater (CAST) is honored to present this special pilot production of the brand-new musical featuring music by acclaimed songwriting team Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Based on the beloved children’s books about a lovable crocodile who finds a home with the Primm family in New York City, “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile JR.” brings the heart, humor, and charm of the story to the stage with wonderful new music, colorful characters, and a message about friendship, family, acceptance, and finding the courage to be yourself. Audiences can expect an uplifting production filled with great music, plenty of humor, big ensemble moments, and a lovely story inspired by the classic books that have delighted generations of readers. Show times: At 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 and Friday, Oct. 16; and Sunday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. Tickets: $12 adult, $10 LT member, and $5 youth (ages 18 and under).
“Primetime” - (R; 1 hour, 50 minutes) - In 2006, “To Catch a Predator” host Chris Hansen sets out to make television history. As the cameras roll, a groundbreaking television spectacle begins to blur the lines between journalism, entertainment, and vigilantism. Robert Pattinson stars as Hansen in this unsettling crime thriller inspired by the real-life events surrounding the controversial series. Playing Friday, Oct. 16 at 7:15 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 1 and 7 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 22 at 1 and 7 p.m.
The MET Live in HD: “Macbeth” - Pre-Opera Talk (approx. runtime: 3 hours, 29 minutes / 1 intermission) - Two of opera’s most extraordinary artists return to The Met: Live in HD for Verdi’s thrilling take on the immortal Shakespearean tale of the scheming couple determined to seize power at any cost. Following past triumphs in many of Verdi’s signature baritone roles, Quinn Kelsey is the Scottish king haunted by the ghosts of his murderous ascent to the throne, opposite Lise Davidsen—the world’s reigning dramatic soprano—as the power-mad Lady Macbeth, whose ruinous ambition damns them both. Saturday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. Dr. Morton Achter will present a pre-opera talk beginning at 12 noon, as well as a brief “post-opera discussion” immediately following the performance. Tickets: $25 adult, $23 LT members, and $5 youth (ages 18 and under).
