First grade at Wiscasset Elementary School has been learning all about owls in science. We have learned about their habitat, life cycle and diet. The highlight of the week was dissecting owl pellets, the bits of bones and fur that an owl cannot digest and spits back up.

These were real owl pellets that the kids got a chance to get hands-on with. They found so many cool bones and animal body parts. The kids were amazed!
