Wilson Jazz Duo to perform at Historic Head Tide Church

Saturday, July 11, 2026 - 03:00 pmThe Friends of Old Head Tide Church invite the public to an afternoon of jazz featuring the Wilson Jazz Duo on Saturday, July 11 at 3 p.m., at the historic Old Head Tide Church in Alna.
Husband-and-wife musicians Jenny and Nathan Wilson bring an engaging blend of jazz standards, original compositions, and inventive arrangements of music by Prince, The Beatles, and Leonard Bernstein. Jenny performs on piano and flute, while Nathan plays acoustic and fretless electric bass, creating engaging and musically adventurous performances.
Jenny Wilson has deep roots in Maine's musical community. After moving from Queens, New York, to attend the Sea School in Camden, she earned a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Southern Maine. She has performed with renowned Maine musicians Dave Mallett, Chris Neville, Tony Gaboury, Pixie Lauer, and Doreen and Joe Conboy-Barth. As a jazz pianist, she has also appeared in the Dimensions in Jazz Series and performed on WGME with news anchor Kim Block.
Admission is free, while donations are welcome. A reception with the musicians will follow the concert.
Presented by the Friends of Old Head Tide Church, the concert is part of the organization's ongoing mission to preserve the historic church while keeping it a vibrant gathering place for the community. Today, the beautifully restored church hosts concerts, weddings, performances, and other community events in the heart of historic Head Tide.
