The latest storm bearing down on Lincoln County on Friday is yielding a long weekend for Wiscasset and Regional School Unit 12 students. Both departments announced shortly after 5 a.m. that all their schools are closed today due to the weather.

The closures marked the third day this week that a storm or its aftermath kept the departments’ students out of school. Forecasters are predicting another storm for early next week.
