Wiscasset Winterfest Jan. 24-Feb. 1
Wiscasset Community Center announces the return of Winterfest 2026, running from Jan. 24 to Feb. 1. This annual tradition brings the community together for indoor and outdoor fun while raising support for the Cooper DiPerri Scholarship Fund. A week-long silent auction and raffles start Jan. 24, with a weekend of events kicking off on Jan. 30.
Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. through Feb. 1 at 3 p.m.: Silent Auction and raffles, Wiscasset Community Center front lobby. Winners will be notified Feb. 1.
Friday, Jan. 30: Non-profit Trivia Night (6:30 - 8:30 p.m.) Hosted by Wiscasset Parks & Recreation. $5 per person, teams up to eight. Winning team splits the pot with the Scholarship Fund. Dinner, drinks and concessions (5:30 - 8 p.m.) provided by Back River Bistro. Bake sale in the lobby 5-8 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 31: Community Breakfast 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. in the Senior Center, $8 adults, $5 kids, and free under 4; "Animal Adaptations" with Chewonki Foundation 10 - 11 a.m., in the Senior Center, free. Hot Lunch Soup Bar, hot dogs and mac and cheese 11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. in the Senior Center, $5 soup meal (12 years and up), $3 (11 and under), $5 hot dog meals; Open Swim 2 - 4 p.m., free. Outdoor warming fire pit with marshmallows, outdoor activities and ice skating all day (weather permitting) free; bake sale 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the lobby.
Sunday, Feb. 1: Corn Hole Fundraising Tournament in WCC gymnasium, 10 a.m. warm-up, 11 a.m. start time; $25 per person for entry and an airmail ticket. Pre-registration online at Scoreholio.com or signup day of. No set teams! Tournament will consist of a four-round round robin followed by a Double Elimination Tournament. Cash prizes (based on a minimum of 20 registrations) to 1st ($250, $125 each player), 2nd ($150, $75 each player) and 3rd ($50, $25 each player) place finishers! (Prizes will be lowered if participation is less than 20.) 50/50 raffle. Food and Bar items available for purchase from Back River Bistro. (Entry fee proceeds will be split between the winners and the Scholarship Fund 50/50.) The raffle and silent auction will close at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Proceeds from Winterfest benefit the Cooper DiPerri Scholarship, which provides adults, families and children in Wiscasset and surrounding communities with scholarships for camps, after school programs, memberships for the Community Center and programs to help them grow and develop in a healthy and positive way. Without this scholarship foundation, many people would not be able to enjoy the benefits of what our local Community Center and Parks & Recreation Department have to offer. By accessing these programs, we are providing families with the opportunity to live a healthy and happy lifestyle amongst friends.
