Wiscasset Area Chamber of Commerce held its latest "Business After Hours" event at Wiscasset Yacht Club Sept. 19. This event highlighted the efforts of Wiscasset Community Center as well as the Yacht Club's various activities. Here are some of the images from the event.

The event also followed longtime WACC Manager Patricia Cloutier's announcement she is retiring. In a recent Chamber newsletter, Cloutier wrote: "I am retiring as of Oct. 1 with much consideration for this decision. I have worked since I was 15 years old and now on the brink of 80 (oh my!) I need some time for family things, some much needed travel and opportunity to enjoy life. I can't thank all of you for how much the chamber has afforded me the satisfaction of seeing this organization grow and become a vital part of our community. Your support and love continues the mission we set out in 2011, to promote a positive business environment that contributes to the economic vitality of the Wiscasset Area. Great job, people, go forth and prosper!"

At a scheduled Chamber board meeting recently, members treated Cloutier to a surprise party in honor of her retirement. Many members turned out. Enjoy these photos from that party.
