Erica Lynn Emerson, 38, passed away Aug. 28, 2023, at Mass General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

Erica was born July 11, 1985, in Boothbay Harbor to Bruce Carver and Linda Reed Carver. Erica grew up in Boothbay Harbor and graduated from Boothbay Region High School in the class of 2003. She graduated from cosmetology school following high school. 

Erica worked for several Boothbay Region salons after graduating, and later opened her own salon, The Rusty Shears, in Edgecomb. Erica was family-focused, her children were her life. She enjoyed her salon and all the friends she made. She loved to hunt, fish, go on deer rides and enjoyed the outdoors. Erica was member of the Maine Antique Tractor Club. She enjoyed family vacations spending time up north with her extended family and spending time with her girlfriends at the beach.

She was predeceased by her father, Bruce Carver. 

Erica is survived by her husband, Robert L. Emerson of Edgecomb; son, Henry Robert Emerson of Edgecomb; daughter, Olive Lynn Emerson of Edgecomb; mom Linda Tibbetts of Boothbay and husband Harmon Tibbetts; grandparents, Bradford and Roberta Reed of Boothbay; sister, Amber Rose of Edgecomb; niece, Grace Rose of Edgecomb; aunts, Connie Faulkingham, husband Steve and children Madison and Riley, Becky Barter and husband Todd of Boothbay, and Julie Harlow and husband Leonard of Skowhegan. Erica was loved by all her extended family as well.

A graveside service for Erica will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16 at the North Edgecomb Cemetery in Edgecomb.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, 975 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay.
