Our area's best playhouse, as voted by VillageSoup readers, will play host to a new romantic musical comedy "Is Mozart in Maine?" March 23-25. The storyline revolves around Mozart being mysteriously transported into the future where he is adopted by a coastal village at the height of tourist season. Book, music and lyrics are by Rockport resident Richard Cadwalader, and the production will feature many of the mid-coast's finest singers and performers. And of course, much of the music is by Mozart, including many popular arias reworked with new lyrics in English to fit the story.
This event is a fundraiser for the Bay Chamber Concert Music School.
General Admission Tickets $12-20 available at the door, by calling box office - 207-536-5850 and online at www.camdenoperahouse.com.
