The T-shirt with a design by Boothbay Region Elementary School fifth grader Chau Nyugen has arrived  at The Smiling Cow, 14 Commercial St, Boothbay Harbor. The second annual WJD Student T-shirt Design Contest drew 40 entries – 32 more than in 2019. Chau received a $250 prize!

The light blue shirts have the fun design capturing Chau’s favorite parts of Windjammer Days: the windjammers, candy and fireworks! The design features a sailing windjammer gliding over  the ocean as happy fish swim below it and candy and fireworks fall and explode above, as a flock of birds fly toward the ship. The WJD Committee chose the design because it is fun and festive.

Youth sizes: short sleeves, $15.99; long sleeves, $21.99;  adult short-sleeved, $19.99; long-sleeved, $24.99.
