A medical issue may have caused 65-year-old Frank Boudin of Wiscasset to lose control of his truck and strike a tree on Fort Hill Road in Wiscasset just before 8 a.m., April 11, Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline said.
Cline reported that a 17-year-old witness told him that he saw Boudin swerve to the left, then back to the right, coming to a stop into a tree. Cline said Boudin had taken a new medication and that it was likely he was experiencing some side effects at the time of the accident.
“Fortunately, he is OK,” Cline said. Boudin was complaining of pains in his legs and was transported to a local hospital by the Wiscasset Ambulance Service.
