Rufus is one adult dog looking for a home at the Lincoln County Animal Shelter. He is a senior red tick coonhound mix, and has been at the shelter for two years. He is such a love, a gentle and loyal dog, and shelter staff can’t figure out why he hasn’t yet been scooped up. The Lincoln County Animal Shelter is holding a mega adoption event and open house on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 15 and 16, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
This event will feature dozens of kittens for adoption, fee-waived adult cats for adoption, discounted adult dog adoptions, free doggy starter gift bags with every dog adoption, free hot dogs, kids games and crafts, and pictures with “Coastie,” the official mascot of Coastal Humane Society.
The event is located at the Lincoln County Animal Shelter, 27 Atlantic Highway in Edgecomb.
