Alna voters re-elected two selectmen and two other incumbent office-holders March 15 at the Alna fire station.
Second Selectman Jonathan Villeneuve and Third Selectman David Reingardt retained their seats. So did Road Commissioner Jeff Verney and Treasurer Honora Perkins. Each was unopposed on the printed ballot, but a small number of write-in votes were cast in each race.
More than 50 people, or roughly 10 percent of Alna’s registered voters, turned out for Friday’s elections at the fire station.
The elections, along with Cooper’s re-election as moderator, were the official start to the annual town meeting. Voters were set to return to the fire station at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 16, to decide the town budget.
