Anni Clark returns to Boothbay
Maine musician Anni Clark returns to the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor on Saturday, October 20 at 7 p.m. The concert will take place in the upstairs space above the main concert hall, a friendly and familiar setting for her “Sweet Sounds of Autumn” show. The venue features a full bar, coffeehouse style seating & an intimate space for her solo performance.
Clark is a Maine native who has recorded seven successful albums including “Anni Clark LIVE,” which earned her a nomination for the Texas Music Awards “Female Vocalist of the Year.” Maine's Kennebec Journal wrote about Anni, “she can have you laughing one moment and close to tears the next with the honest emotions in her material.” She has shared stages with international acts including Shawn Colvin, Richie Havens and Cheryl Wheeler.
Anni supports strong melodic vocals with both six and twelve string guitars blending “folk, pop, & blues with a dash of Maine hue-mah.” Stories shared between songs are often highlights of her shows.
In the interest of integrating her love of music and writing with her desire to be a positive influence in the lives of others, Anni began teaching in 2004. She believes her love of life and music translates well in the school setting and that her passion for performing has been enhanced by working with her students.
The door fee for Anni’s concert is $10; doors open at 6:30 p.m. This year's concert is sponsored by Rick Gilde Massage in Boothbay Harbor and “Fans of Anni.”
