ArtInMe opens October 13
It may be the beginning of the off-season in Maine for vacationers but not for art enthusiasts and collectors. Most Maine galleries have strong shows in autumn including the museums.
This Saturday, Oct. 13, the 3rd annual ArtinMe opens to the public.
ArtinMe is a state-wide juried exhibition that is “a fresh and selective look at the art being done by Maine artists today showing originality and skill in all painting, drawing and sculpture media.”
The show jurist this year is Connie Hayes. Hayes is a renowned artist and art instructor who resides in Rockland and is represented by the highly-regarded Dowling Walsh Gallery, also in Rockland.
ArtinMe is open to the public October 13 through November 3 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, 11 a.m.-p.m. Sundays. All art in the exhibition is for sale and can be picked up or shipped after the show. Contact the gallery at 633-2815 or visit www.boothbayartists.org.
ArtinMe is presented and produced by the Boothbay Region Art Foundation and is sponsored by The Knickerbocker Group, Sherman’s Books and Stationery, and First Federal Savings. The show will be exhibited at Boothbay Region Art Foundation gallery at One Townsend Ave., in the center of Boothbay Harbor, diagonally across the street from the Memorial library. Free admission. Buses welcome; call for parking directions.
