Bangor Savings Bank supports ‘100+ Women Who Care Lincoln County Maine’ with major donation
In October of 2025, seven local women launched the first meeting of 100+ Women Who Care Lincoln County. In just a few short months, the organization has raised and donated over $51,000 to support local nonprofits. Beneficiaries have included Stepping Stones Housing; Hearty Roots; Veterans Writing Project; Boothbay Region Community Resource Council; Damariscotta Montessori School; The Waldo Theatre, and Coastal Kids Preschool. The organization has a goal of collecting $100,000 in donations by the end of 2026.
The success of this organization is a direct result of members who believe in the power of gathering for the sake of giving—and because of local business support. The all-volunteer leadership team of 100+ Women Who Care Lincoln County creates quarterly event experiences on a shoestring budget. Funding for the organization and its curated events that offer food and drink is made possible through business donations.
In 2026, Bangor Savings Bank presented 100+ Women Who Care Lincoln County with a major donation of $1,500. Brynne Whitney, a supporting member of 100+ Women Who Care Lincoln County, was instrumental in creating the synergy between these two organizations that believe in philanthropic investment in community. “Bangor Savings Bank is proud to be a presenting sponsor of 100+ Women Who Care Lincoln County,” said Whitney, Damariscotta branch manager at Bangor Savings Bank. “We’re grateful to support their work investing in the people and nonprofits that strengthen Lincoln County communities.” Strengthening Lincoln County communities is what 100+ Women Who Care Lincoln County is all about. Their mission has quickly become a reality because of the strength and generosity of Lincoln County residents and businesses like Bangor Savings Bank.
