Boothbay Harbor motorcyclist ‘banged up a little’ in collision
A Boothbay Harbor man was hurt in an accident on Route 1 in Woolwich May 18, a Sagadahoc County sheriff’s deputy said.
Ralph Hall, 39, of West Bath, pulled out of the Montsweag Roadhouse parking lot heading north in a 2007 Hummer without seeing the 1987 Honda motorcycle Gary Tilton, 48, of Boothbay Harbor, was driving southbound, Deputy Matthew Shiers said.
But Tilton saw the Hummer and was able to slow down the motorcycle; it collided with the side of the Hummer, Shiers said.
Tilton was taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. His injuries appeared minor, the deputy said. Hall was unhurt.
Reached May 19, Tilton said he was released from the hospital the afternoon of the accident. “I’m just banged up a little,” he said.
The crash happened just before 3 p.m. No charges are expected, Shiers said.
