Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce
Thank you to all the Claw Down volunteers.
It took a small village to put on the 3rd annual Claw Down: generous sponsors and restaurants and hotel owners, talented vendors, an unique venue, mega-talented Claw Down Chefs, industry-renowned judges, one dynamic host and a hardworking staff.
But none of this would have been possible if it were not for the help and dedication of our amazing volunteers, led by our Chamber Volunteer of the Year: Kris Ward.
While almost 400 attendees enjoyed bite after bite at the Claw Down, there was a hardworking team of fastidious and dedicated volunteers catering to all the nano-details — maintaining the venue, attending to our chefs’ needs before they flagged us down, and answering attendees’ questions. Our biggest thanks to our small army of hardworking, enthusiastic and efficient volunteers:
Kris Ward for leading all our volunteers’ efforts with so much dedication, poise and efficiency.
Karen Baushfor help with set up, breakdown, caring for our judges and host!
Guy Peaseleefor beautifying the boatyard prior to the event and working the event and helping with breakdown.
Lorna Weber and Valerie Young for scoring the entire competition and entertaining the judges.
Pamela Lauzau O'Connor for helping with set up, breakdown and carrying every bite to the judges with so much grace, enthusiasm and energy.
Joyce Davis for watching over that boatyard entrance, greeting all our attendees and helping with breakdown.
Mike Whitney, Linda and Paul Demers, Cathy Latter and Greg Singer for maintaining the event with much attention to detail.
Devon Hubner for helping sell raffle tickets and manning registration. No easy feat!
Konstantina Rigas, for selling raffle tickets, taking the day off to help with all the event logistics and ensuring a seamless and successful event. We wish you the best!
Sue Burge, you were missed, but thank you for sharing your beautiful rug and swivel bar stools on our stage.
On behalf of our president, board of directors, and staff (Cherie Scott, Brooke Hubner and Michelle Davis), thank you. We could have never done it without your collective talents, time and amazing energy. Claw Down lives on!
