Clamshell Quilters will meet Oct. 12 at the Faith Baptist Church, 144 Mills Road, Newcastle.

An optional sit ‘n’ sew begins at 2 p.m. Enjoy laughter and fellowship with friends as you sew on charity projects or a project of your own. Sandi Schultz will be available if anyone wants further help with their redwork. Remember to bring your own food and beverage if you plan to stay throughout the afternoon and evening program.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. Jane Tedrow will host some games for our entertainment. This should be lots of fun, and there will be prizes. Show ‘n’ tell for the evening will be UFOs (unfinished objects). Come on ladies, you all have projects hidden away that you never finished. Let's all haul them out for a fun (funny?) show ‘n’ tell.
