CNA training begins Jan. 5; Application deadline nears
MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital is now accepting applications for its next Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program, which runs Jan. 5 through Feb. 12, 2026. Applications are due by Dec. 5.
The six-week, full-time program offers free tuition and an “earn while you learn” model in which participants are paid while completing their training and are eligible for benefits in exchange for a one-year work commitment with MaineHealth.
Held at MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital’s Education Center in Damariscotta, the program includes classroom instruction, hands-on skills labs, and clinical experience in nursing home and hospital settings. Participants can expect to attend four to five days per week, totaling 32-40 hours each week.
To apply, interested candidates must first view the required information session and complete the registration form linked in the video’s description. Applicants who meet the initial requirements will be scheduled for the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS) exam and must demonstrate a ninth-grade reading level to qualify. Once the exam is passed, candidates should submit their official CNA Apprentice Damariscotta application online by Dec. 5.
