Coastal Senior College Spring Walk at Riverview Hayfields Preserve
On Monday, May 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Coastal Senior College “Village Volunteers” Steve and Mary Gifford will lead Coastal Senior College members on an expedition in South Thomaston along Route 131, a one-mile walk in the Georges River Land Trust’s Riverview Hayfields Preserve. Afterwards, the group will visit the Finnish Heritage House and the Finnish Congregational Church to learn about the Finnish community in the Midcoast.
The guided walk will be followed by a picnic lunch in an interesting location. Coastal Senior College Spring Walks are free to all CSC members as a benefit of membership. Sign-up is required. Detailed directions will be sent to all registrants.
To sign up for the Spring Walk at Riverview Hayfields Preserve or to register as a member, go to coastalseniorcollege.org. Annual membership is open to all and allows adults to register for classes in the fall, winter, and spring terms each year.
