Lincoln County Commissioners have received a safety enhancement grant awarded by the Maine Municipal Association for $1,251.87. The grant will cover two-thirds of the cost of the purchase of three ergonomic chairs.

The MMA grant program, since 1999, has assisted municipalities by bestowing more than $3.6 million through the funding of 2,788 safety enhancement grants and 392 scholarship grants.
