Community forum with Johnson, Marks and MacDonald rescheduled for March 7
UPDATE: Due to the impending storm, the community forum scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 28 at the Lincoln County Communications Center in Wiscasset has been canceled, and is rescheduled for Thursday, March 7, from 6:30 pm to 8 p.m. at the same site.
Original post: State Senator Chris Johnson (D-Somerville) and State Representatives Tim Marks (D-Pittston) and Bruce MacDonald (D-Boothbay) will be hosting a community forum this Thursday, Feb. 28 in Wiscasset 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lincoln County Communications Center in Wiscasset. The focus of the forum will be the governor’s proposed two-year budget.
“It is important that people understand the impacts of this budget,” Johnson said.
This forum is one of several being hosted by Johnson throughout his district. He held one last week in Damariscotta, and will hold one in Windsor on March 6 and in Waldoboro on March 18.
Johnson represents Senate District 20, the Midcoast region. In the Maine Legislature, Johnson chairs the Marine Resources Committee and serves on the Education and Government Oversight Committees.
Marks represents the towns of Alna, Dresden, Pittston and Wiscasset. Marks sits on the Criminal Justice Committee. This is his first term in the House.
MacDonald represents the towns of Arrowsic, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Georgetown, Southport and Westport Island. MacDonald chairs the Education Committee, and this is his fourth term in the Legislature.
