A special service of music will be offered at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 during the regular worship hour at First Congregational Church of Wiscasset, 28 High St. And a craft workshop is set for noon.

The church choir, under the direction of Linda Adams, will present selections of Christmas music from Poland, France, Ireland, Italy and America.  International carols will be “Infant Lowly, Infant Holy”; “Born on Earth the Divine Christ Child”; “The Wexford Carol”; “Gesu Bambino”; and “Go Tell it on the Mountain.” “African Noel” did not originate in Africa, but is included as a tribute to the many rhythms shared through African musical culture enjoyed today.

The advent craft workshop runs from noon to 2 p.m. Join the volunteers on hand to help children and adults make Christmas cards, tree ornaments and table decorations with greens. Help will also be given in decorating Christmas cookies and holiday hors d’oeuvres.
