Cross country skiing and snowshoeing are great ways to stay active in winter, and through generous support from Midcoast Conservancy and Americorps members, these unique experiences are offered to fourth and fifth grade Wiscasset Elementary School students during physical education class.

Students can practice the fundamental skills, become more comfortable with the equipment, and learn about a new winter hobby that could benefit them for years to come.
